Mongols. Great Khans. temp. Ögedei, AH 624-639 / AD 1227-1241. 1/2 Dinar (Gold, 24 mm, 1.78 g, 12 h), Khujand type. Citing the ʿAbbasid caliph al-Nasir li-din Allah (AH 575-622 / AD 1180-1225) on both sides, ‘lā ilāha illā / Allāh Muḥammad / rasūl Allāh / al-Nāṣir li-dīn / Allāh’ (‘There is no deity but Allah. Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. al-Nasir li-din Allah’ in Arabic). Rev. ‘al-imām al-a/ʿẓam al-Nāṣir / li-dīn Allāh / amīr al-muʾminīn’ (‘The supreme Imam, al-Nasir li-din Allah, Commander of the Believers’ in Arabic); illegible margin. Cf. Zeno-265093.
